Uptown Shoppes 3600 Broadway Kansas City, MO The Uptown has invited a number of "green" businesses and organizations to participate in the Green Festival, and has provided to them complimentary booth spaces, which will afford the participants an excellent opportunity to showcase their past work, and to educate the community on their eco-friendly practices.
So...Where do WE fit in?
Everywhere, really. Think of it this way, it's LIKE the "Bliss Fest" we recently celebrated, only HUGE! Many of the same participants will join us, including: Music by Seed Love Raw Foods including:
Pizza; Desserts; Superfood Smoothies; and "ICE CREAM" and many other green/organic vendors! AND... In addition to all the excitement above... An EPIC "Mid-West" film premiere, Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days!
With a VERY SPECIAL GUEST appearance by one of the film's participants, Kirt Tyson!!

Simply Raw reveals, with startling clarity, that diet can reverse diabetes and change the quality of people's lives. The film captures the human drama and struggle of these courageous individuals making a quantum leap of faith from a traditional junk food diet to a raw vegan diet and it shows revealing moments of nurturing, compassion, and human spirit. It is a film about a life changing journey on a simply raw diet and how nature is the original medicine.
Additional wisdom is provided by Morgan Spurlock, Woody Harrelson, Anthony Robbins, Rev. Michael Beckwith, David Wolfe and Doctors Fred Bisci, Joel Furman, Gary Null, and Gabriel Cousens. About Kirt: He was diagnosed with Type II (adult-onset) diabetes, and became one of the participants of the film. He was an inspiration throughout the film and will be with us to share his own insights and experience on this health journey. Recently, Kirt has been re-diagnosed with Type I (genetically inherited) diabetes. He continues to control diabetes through diet and is virtually, insulin and diabetes FREE! Kirt is currently studying to be a naturopathic doctor and is from Baltimore, Maryland. FILM - PRESENTATIONS - SCREENING(times are yet to be determined) We will offer at least one full program each day of the "Green Fest."
