Herb"N"Gardener, Lew Edmister (Westside, KCMO)
From the lips of Lew:
"arugula addicts can now rejoice yet another week into the summer because i'll have a decent supply of arugula by itself and a good load of yet another mix of arugula. i sampled it for dinner last night. it's sure reassuring when you get something just right. last week there was a wonderful lady who bought a bag of last week's arugula mix just because i said it was "yummy". she said if a full-grown (not overgrown) man could call a bag of salad mix "yummy", she'd have to buy it. so, yummy's my word.
i'll have heirloom tomatoes and filet beans, but i can't predict how much at this time. kaleaholics can relax knowing their fix awaits them in both russian and starbor bunches. my collards patch is screaming to be picked so get ready to mix it with mustard greens and kales in your sauté pans my summer squash is taking it's sweet time producing and it's a little early for peppers to be heavy, so patience dear eaters.
