Funky Friday Farmers Market at BADSEED - A MUST ON FRIDAYS IN THE CROSSROADS

Dearest Connoisseurs of Local Flavor,

BRACE YOURSELVES!!! Cover your children's eyes!!!! Keep your mouths shut and try not to drool with hunger and lustful longing!!

You must keep your wits about you until this Friday from 4:30-9 PM at the BADSEED Farmers Market when you can finally get your mouths on the totally delicious, totally outrageous, totally inappropriate, and utterly PERVERSE HEIRLOOM WINTER SQUASH !!

After a long and crazy season full of greens, tomatoes, okra, and eggplant you say "ENOUGH ALREADY"! You crave something hearty, something creamy, something earthy, something totally mind boggling, and flavor blowing. Well, BADSEED has got it.

These luscious babes are coming to you straight from the dirt at 95th and Stateline Rd. Roast them, bake them, put them in a pie, blend them into a soup, take them out on a date, launch one at your boss's head, prop one up in the passenger seat of your convertible and go for a ride. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, my friends, when it comes to squash.

This week's line-up of ladies will include the radiant Turks Turban, the bodacious Butternut, the exotic Black Futsu (tastes like hazlenuts), the sherbert-fleshedJarrdale, the angelic Pie Pumpkin, and last but certainly not least: the GIANT JAPANESE PINK BANANA - this baby will feed your whole family for an entire week! (check out the pics)

OK OK! Moving on....

Our gang of gregarious urban growers will also have the following organic delights to tantalize your taste buds:

*Heirloom Tomatoes
*Orgasmic Eggplant
*Sweet & Hotter than Hell Peppers
*Greens, Glorious Greens including Russian Kale, Rainbow Chard, Ruby Lettuce,
and BADSEED's Famous "Stir-fry" Mix
*Red Velvet Okra
*Summer Squash
*Gourmet Potatoes
*Onions and Garlic
*Chinese Red Noodle Beans
*Baby Beets
*Sweet Potato Greens (better than spinach)
*PAWPAWS!!!!
*and more....

Not to mention, aged and fresh GOAT CHEESE from GOATSBEARD Farm, and Free-range EGGS and BAKED GOODS from our friends at Bread of Life Bakery!!!

So STAY OUT of the soulless supermarket this week, and support your local farmers instead at the funkiest "Friday night" market in town.

We look forward to feeding you!!!

Yours Truly,

Brooke
