| More Info | "The Free City Community Garden is in its 4th year of providing free, organic fruits, vegetables, and nuts to its surrounding community. The garden not only makes use of otherwise vacant space, but provides cost free sustainable nutrition in the veritable food desert that is the Washington Wheatley neighborhood as well. Free City provides hands on opportunities for anyone interested in learning more about large scale gardening. For these reasons and more, it is crucial that ownership of the land be secured in the hands of those who tend the garden. This August 29th, the land will go up for auction.
