| Hello Moist Friends and Neighbors, The sweet water is working its way up through the plants towards your fruits and vegetables right at this moment. The vendors will be bringing the goods towards your home for you to enjoy Wednesday evening... Excellent bread selections abound now at the market. Alice brings her home grown and ground wheat loaves and sweets that are a perennial favorite. Now, we have Robin and Ariel making powerfully delicious and healthy organic rye/wheat loaves with the likes of olives & rosemary, jalapeno and cheddar, and gobs of seeds. Marie Kamphefner has been bringing very delicious eggs to market this season from chicken without borders. Her chickens roam free on her land and this allows them to graze, hunt and collect, imparting the richest flavors to her eggs. If you are feeling the pressure of the weather, work, life in general, or you just want to relax for a moment, Jill can offer you a soothing chair massage with her highly skilled hands. Try it and your body will be grateful you did. Sherri's got the constant flow of roots, greens and herbs, though you have to get to market early before these hot items run out. She has been giving us a taste of tomatoes each week and the volume is ever increasing as the plants get bigger. Be there before 4:30 to get some of your own. Les has the best honey in town harvested from bees who are so local, they may be frequenting honey locust and basswood trees in your neighborhood. Some (like my family) use this honey medicinally with great success (and pleasure)! Ask Les for details. Kim should have all the best cuts of grass fed beef available, in addition to homemade herbal bug repellant and diatomatious earth bugdust for home and garden. Bruce is sure to wow the masses as always with a brilliant display of the best of what is in season. This week only! The mystical minimalist musical phenomenon, known as Jazzbo! Stay for a listen. You never know what you might find at the farmers' market, so if you are not sure how to cook or prepare some item, feel free to ask our vendors what they would suggest.
