Only 2 weeks left in the Wednesday market season!

Greens (blanch and freeze)
Potatoes (store in the dark)
Garlic (keep dry)
Onions (cool and dry)
Hot Peppers (can em or freeze em)
Sweet Peppers (pickle or freeze)
Hard Squash (leave out, but turn periodically)
Zucchini (freeze)
Eggs (fridge)
Honey (in your pants (Just kidding, unless you're into that.))
Frozen Beef (keep frozen and eat within a year)
Beef Jerky (back pocket in a Skoal tin)
Tomato (can it)

There will be lots more to feed your needs at the market on Wednesday, so drop in and support local agriCulture!


p.s. If you bring in a cloth or other reusable bag (leather? burlap?) for produce, you can get a ticket from me (Dave) at the market tent (by the coffee shop) or my daughter (Felicity). The 39th Street Community Market is conveniently located near KU Medical Center in the 39th Street shopping area. Stop by after work and talk with your local farmers. Organic and sustainably grown vegetables and fruit, free range meat and other goodies are available. If you live in the neighborhood, stroll on over and bring your kids! Regular music events and children's activities are also scheduled.
