foodNow - a GALA fundraiser for local non-profits, promoting local food initiatives in Greater Kansas City - SATURDAY, August 28th, 2010

foodNow is an all-volunteer gala where local farmers and local chefs come together to bring a unique local food experience to the West Bottoms, home of the roots of agriculture in the Midwest. We are raising money and awareness for local, healthier eating.

Eat with the Locals

6:30pm to 10:00pm

ROOFTOP DRINKS

Up on the roof of 1300 West 13th Street, you will share in wine, small bites, the silent auction, and an amazing view. As sunset approaches, you will be ushered down to find a seat at the table in the street for a dinner of all-local food.

DINING IN THE STREET

Proceeds from the gala go to 501(c)(3) not-for-profits working for local, healthier eating. This year's beneficiaries are the Kansas City Center for Urban Agriculture, the Greater Kansas City Food Policy Coalition, and Kansas City Community Gardens.
