WEDNESDAY Evening
Local Food in Kansas City
Good Day!
Come to the Westport Plaza Farmers' Market at Westport Rd and Wyoming St on Wednesday, September 15th from 4:30-7:30 for seasonal produce while it lasts.
Tomatoes are still available, but this week may be your last chance! Snatch them up, can them as sauce, stewed or salsa. Pick a peck of peppers and draw some hots for cool weather chili. Pickle some okra or cukes.
For more info on canning, check out this from the Missouri extension...
Remember, this little market of ours is one of the cheapest ways to get local, sustainably grown food in KC. Stop by after work or play. Make us your midweek destination for the next four Wednesdays before the season is up!
See ya there!
You can get it all on Wednesday as you listen to great local music and meet the finest neighbors around.
Les Miller will be here at the market to tell you all about his bees.
So, make the trip to Westport Road and Wyoming Street, just 3 blocks east of State Line. Get the freshest of local, sustainably grown produce!

If it's from our growers, you know it's not tainted with pesticides & you can talk with our vendors about how to cook it, it it or grow some of it yourself! Goodness!
