Farmers' Community Market at Brookside - SATURDAYS 8am-1pm

Farmers' Community Market
at Brookside

Looks like gorgeous weather for market this Saturday. We look forward to seeing your smiling, organic loving faces there!

Even though our bar soaps have very little fragrance, we officially have an UNSCENTED bar soap. I totally appreciate how sensitive some people can be to even minute amounts
of substances, so this bar is for YOU! Also, many of you may not know that I really love photography and have a box of greeting photo cards on our table every week. With
summer winding down and leading us into the holiday season, it is time to connect with family and friends. I have just added lots of autumn photos, perfect for giving and sending
now..........don't we all love getting something other than a bill in the mail? I know I do, and it's from my niece, who also makes photo cards.....very special. Come say HI" and
see what we have. We are really loving our time at this market. Sandy and John

Hey Everyone, I will be at market Saturday, have a great, long time friend in from California who will be with me. She is so funny, she is a teacher out there, and for her trip here she has to get up at 430 am! She tells me this is the hardest part! "I don't do 430am"

We plan on running all over the place to check out the local sites. There are in fact several restaurants in KC that I want to take her to, get some of that local fare with an organic twist!

I have a good variety of cuts and ground still, I am out of pet food, but this Friday have two going in so will be stocked up the next week. I was thinking of doing some of the pet food in the two pound, flat clear package and the other like our regular ground. Will have to keep in different freezer, would hate to load my case only to discover I only took pet food!

Come on by the booth, lets talk bugs! Ewwww! I know, but to really do away with them in many parts of your life, it is really very simple. The Diatomaceous Earth is so effective, for such a huge array of infestations. Even the out break of Bed Bugs can be controlled with the DE. Our Bug Repellant is also a winner and does really help to keep the mosquitoes and others from feeding on us all. It is effective on an area, animal or us. The smell is wonderful, which makes you wonder how can it work? The combination of the organic essential oils, is the best. And in the research for this potion we have re-discovered uses for many oils around the home and farm. Come on by, chat of your knowledge, share your ideas and facts!

Talk to you Saturday at Brookside! Thank you so much for your support of small farms and the natural and organic way of life! It is exciting when you can see the difference in your own small part, because then you can start to see the difference in a growing area of influence. Join us as we Recycle! ReUse! and Respect our planet and try to start the healing that is needed.

From Blue Door Farm: Sorry folks, but i will be helping with a workshop this Saturday so won't be at market. I promise to return next week! - Laura

Autumn is officially here, and according to the Farmers' Almanac, we
will enjoy a warm and dry October and November. Great weather for fall
gardening, pumpkins and apples, and seeing the leaves gently fall as
you ride around town on your very own Vespa! Fall riding is so
enjoyable, and Crossroads Powersports/Vespa has some great end of the
season deals right now, so we can make room for next spring's
arrivals. See you at The Market this Saturday, or drop by our showroom
at 75th & Wornall.

Troost Community Farmers' Market - Saturdays at Linwood & Troost

Dear Loyal Customers:

This Saturday, Claudia has eggplant and tomatoes, as well as carrots and herbs.

100's and yellow baby pear tomatoes are available this week.

Carrots, straight and baroque, white and yellow. All are yummy!

Fragrant herbs, much less expensive than in the grocery store, this week include rosemary, oregano, sage, bay leaf, basil, mints, chives, & lemony wood sorrel. The basil is getting big, so there will be much more of it this week and the peppermint is oh so fragrant.

Don't forget peppermint lemonade and good lean buffalo meat (frozen). Robert is back to charcoal grill bratwurst, this week.

See you soon!
