Muroak Farm We have been enjoying the cooler weather. We have been busy planting for the fall. This week we will have tomatoes, garlic, kale, chard, carrots, sweet potato greens, butternut squash, acorn squash, pumpkin, maybe some summer squash, lemon balm, savory, peppermint, basil, wonder berries (If you haven't tried these stop by and give one a try), hickory smoker chips, red okra, cabbage and onions. See you at the market. Bread of Life Bakery Bread of Life will be at market with our baked goods, burritos, quiches and goodies. Our new Quinoa Breakfast cookies have been a good seller and are delicious! Come by and enjoy the market and have breakfast as you shop the Market. With the great weather and interest in our fruit and eggs, we had a really good market and we hope to see you all again this Saturday! This week we will have our apples and asian pears (including a couple new varieties), and some nice european pears. There will also be tomatoes- cherry, salad and slicing; anaheim, jalapeno, red chili, yellow wax and sweet peppers, yellow and red onions, eggplants, yellow squash, cucumbers, rhubarb, and green kale. The chickens and ducks have been laying pretty steadily and we will have our fresh chicken eggs, and some duck eggs. Thanks again and see you on Saturday!

Gibbs Road Farm Order. How good it feels. Hard work over the last two weeks has brought a sense of order back to the farm after many weeks of just holding on. We’ve got many new fall beds planted and some for winter as well. Things are beginning to bounce back from those unbelievably terrible hot days. If you need proof…come to market and find…Filet Beans! Arugula! Swiss Chard! Microgreens, sweet potato greens, cucumbers, summer squash, eggplant, BASIL, cherry tomatoes, tomatillos, POTATOES in many colors, onions- both sweet and hot, peppers- both sweet and hot, garlic- just right, Malabar spinach, celery, fresh herbs, BEETS, carrots, scallions and more! Come to market and share your “I made it through the summer of 2012” story! Red Ridge Farms Cool weather makes for happy farmers! Come on out and shop for some heirloom tomatoes, bell peppers, sweet grilling peppers, jalapeno, scotch bonnet, and other hot peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, acorn squash, spaghetti squash, butternut squash, patty pan squash, cucumbers, yukon gold potatoes, yellow, white and red onions, green onions, a little tiny bit of okra, some oddball and tasty eggplant (green, white and purple), a few cantaloupe, a smidgen of green beans, some BABY GREENS, very nice, young SWISS CHARD,  maybe a bunch or 5 of kale, nice bunches of parsley and basil, and a few pumpkins. Did I mention a few SWEET POTATOES?
