We all value our rights and freedoms.  Few people in the Unites States have seen their individual rights threatened more in recent years than small food producers and local farmers.  The power of international agribusiness has reared its inflated head and growers continue to fight back.  The small farmers at markets like ours are fierce defenders of food sovereignty who are working to give you the right to food free of genetic modification and toxic pesticides.   We appreciate the way that you have taken a stand with us and we hope you will keep fighting the good fight by choosing to purchase good food!

This week, enjoy...

Fresh Bread
Ground Beef
Hot Peppers
Bell Peppers
Sweet Baked Treats from Local Wheat
and Much More...

Every Wednesday through October at the northeast corner of Westport Rd and Wyoming St.

We are a proud participant of the Beans and Greens Program which helps provide local food to qualifying individuals at a lower cost.

Donate to ReStore
Market host, ReStore, operates on a "Triple Bottom Line" philosophy - People, Planet and Profit. ReStore is a good steward of the environment by diverting thousands of tons of usable building materials & furniture from landfills. Drop off your donations when you come to the market. Shopping at ReStore is a hoot too! You never know what you will find that you absolutely "need". ReStore profits support the Habitat for Humanity programs in KC. Say thank you to ReStore for hosting the market by donating & shopping!

Rain Barrels For Sale
Be prepared for when it rains again - and it will - with a rain barrel to collect runoff for watering during dry times. The industrious & talented high school juniors from Girl Scout troop 1476 will be at the market through the end of September with the rain barrels they have assembled as a fundraising project for the final troop trip after graduating from high school in 2014. Think rain!
