BADSEED's Funkalicious Friday FARMERS' MARKET at 1909 McGee (E. Crossroads, KCMO) 4p-9p

Dearest Eaters -

I wanna give a great big THANK YOU to those of you who graced us with your presence this past Saturday at URBAVORE's Season Opener.  It was a grand old time.  The sun was shining, the beer was flowing, and the chickens were crowing!!!
URBAVORE Farmstand will now be open every Saturday from 2-6 pm.  I cannot promise beer and food, but I CAN promise loads of luscious produce, farm tours, FREE Kitchen Compost Pails, and good company in the form of ME & Mr. Percival James.  (Farmer Dan would love to be there, but he'll be tied up hustling veggies every Saturday at the historic City Market).  Again, THANKS for taking the time to visit our farm and experience first-hand all that urban agriculture has to offer KC.  Without your support, we couldn't do this!!  We live to feed; thanks for eating.

Speaking of "feeding", that's exactly what we are prepared to do this Friday at the BADSEED "Funky" Farmers' Market from 4-9 pm.  We have some delectable new offerings on the menu including FRESH ITALIAN FENNEL, not to mention our usual assortment of heirloom produce, grass fed meats, free-range eggs, rustic breads, RAW HONEY, local flour, and more.  Take note - this will be the LAST WEEK forFRESH FAVA BEANS and (most likely) SUGAR SNAP PEAS.  Leaf Lettuce is also on it's way out, so get your fix of "spring veggies" and get ready for sizzling summer fruits that will hit the market tables soon.

In conclusion, stay out of the supermarket this week (!!) and pay a visit to your gregarious gang of growers instead.  As an eater, you exercise your politics, ethics, and compassion with each & every bite you take.  As a farmer, I decide the "future of food" with each and every seed I sow.

TOGETHER we can create an alternative food culture that is just, righteous, and delicious.  TOGETHER we can create a food culture that celebrates each an every living creature.  TOGETHER we can revitalizes the soil, our communities, and our very own bellies.

Join the Food Revolution this Friday.  See you there.
