MEETING: re: S.A.N./K.P.C. Community Garden - LAWRENCE, KS

Sustainability Action Network (SAN) and
Kaw Permaculture Collaborative (KPC)

present:
There will be an informational/organizing meeting of folks interested in the S.A.N./K.P.C. Community Garden. It will be on Saturday, 26 March 2011, 9:00am, at Signs of Life Coffee Shop, 722 Massachusetts St., Lawrence KS.

Our vision for this community garden is for about 30 individual plots of various sizes, located on prime agricultural land very close to the City limits north of the Kansas River. There will also be adjacent acreage of cover crop to be used for organic compost. We are planning for deer fencing, a water well, parking area, tool shed, and the like. Garden plots will be leased annually, with proceeds going towards the cost of development, land improvement and management of the overall project.

If you are interested in helping organize the S.A.N./K.P.C. Community Garden, or in leasing a plot after the site is prepared, please attend this meeting. For further questions, contact Michael Almon (paradigm@ixks.com) 785-832-1300, or Steve Moring (smoring@grasshoppernet.com) 785-691-7305.
