Organic Transplant Sale
at BADSEED Farmers Market
4-9 PM @ 1909 McGee, KC, MO- Join your favorite gang of farmers and get your hands on a glorious selection of heirloom tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, brassicas, medicinal & culinary herbs, flowers, and MORE for your thriving organic garden. All transplants are grown organically and with a whole lotta' love from KC area growers. Featured vendors include URBAVORE Urban Farm, Root Deep Urban Farm, Herb"n"Gardener, Bigg Blue Farm, JJ Farms, and Blue Door Farm.

for KC Food Circle
~ 9am-3pm ~ 91st & Metcalf, Overland Park, KS) ~ Join us for a Kids Club Earth event in the morning from 9am-11am and then stick around for an incredible Local Lunch benefiting the KC Food Circle. The lunch is made from local foods and is only $5.99/ adult and $2.99/kid from 11am-2:30pm.
~~ While you’re here learn about the new Overland Park Community Garden 11am-3pm. Other activities include a recycling demonstration and information about going green at home.
~~ We’ll also be featuring a Health Starts Here demonstration featuring local & organic foods.

~ 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ~ Get ready to celebrate our planet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 16! Learn about conservation, marvel at our Party for the Planet performers, enjoy special programs, visit the Scraps to Sculptures display and much more. Swing by the Zoo this Saturday in our Cheetah Parking Lot from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. to pick up some Zoo Manoo – it’s good for your plants, gardens and flowers. Enriched with the best natural ingredients from our Zoo friends, adding this rich dar Zoo Manoo to your soil will enhance water and nutrient retention and improve soil texture. For a small donation, we will fill your truck with this natural compost.

Prairie Village EARTH FAIR
at S.M. East High School ~ 75th & Mission Rd
This year will mark the 10th year for the Prairie Village Earth Fair. The event is collaboration between Shawnee Mission East High School and the Prairie Village Environmental Committee. We'll have fun entertainment, great organic food and eco-friendly shopping for the whole family at a great local community celebration for Earth Day 2011. Admission and entertainment = FREE;

The Student Environmental Alliance (S.E.A.) at Johnson County Community College will host its fourth annual Earth Day event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 22, in the Commons Plaza on the JCCC campus.
Earth Day is
a campus and community educational and networking event revolving around issues of sustainability.
