Good news, faithful market friends! We have cooler weather in store for this weekend. Mark and John will be back with their sweet tunes. Come and give our weathered, frazzled, lovely, hard-working farmers a smile and a lift. Thank you so much for continuing to support local food and the local economy!

Though the heat, we’ll be harvesting all the favorite summer crops. Eggplant, summer squash, sweet and hot peppers, tomatoes! We’ll also bring lots of potatoes, garlic, scallions, onions, basil, beets, carrots, tomatillos, cucumbers, herbs, sweet potato greens, green beans and purslane. In spite of the 100 plus day temps we’ll be able to harvest and share some microgreens, arugula and limited amounts of Funky Fresh, Swiss chard and kale. Those leafies just don’t like this heat. But well, who does? Come early to market to beat the heat and get the best selections!
See you Saturday.

We are a smaller crew this week since Lili and Bryce had to go back home this week. We will miss their energy and help that they offer us.
I want to thank many of you for encouraging Bryce, Lili and Gabriel at market as they learn how to work for oneself, pay for ingredients and sell their own product. They get to earn some money and learn to save and think hard on what to do with the rest. Going to market is something they look forward to every year.
Chris and Josiah will be at market this week with our burritos, quiche, rolls, breads, cookies ( honey bee cookies will be there too) and our Gluten Free breads and baked goods.
Stay cool and see you Sat.
