This week has been very nice up our way. We have had some rain and cooler days that have made our bakery more bearable. The bread also does better in less extreme conditions.
Josiah and Chris will both be at market with our breakfast burritos, quiches, cookies, cinnamon rolls, breads and Gluten Free items.

Hope to see many of you Saturday.

From Blue Door Farm:

Loving this weather. Loving it. My fall plantings had a chance to germinate and life seems so much more civilized, even with a million chigger bites and poison ivy. :)

A new planting of zucchini and summer squash kicked in this week, so I'll have plenty. If you are getting a little tired of steamed squash, come by and see me for some quick and delicious recipe ideas that will rekindle your enthusiasm for zukes and squashes.

Also on the table: potatoes, potatoes, potatoes. Also some lovely onions and banana peppers for grilling or sauteeing, a few sweet carmen peppers and eggplant, bunches of leeks and bowls of colorful heirloom salad tomatoes. For you greens lovers: The kale has recovered enough for me to bring a few bunches, but come early as supplies will be a little low this week.
