Good You, the organic mobile eatery, and Fresher Than Fresh (FTF)Snow Cones WILL be with us this week. (FTF had a broken ice machine last week. It is fixed, plus they now have a back-up machine. YEAH!!!)

Among their many organic products, they now have a single package of bath salts for $2.00 and a one ounce jar of Green Tea Face Cream for $5.50.  They also have 5 ounce bar soaps @ 5.00 or 3 for $12.00.  The 4 ounce bars are $4.00 or 3  for $10.00.  Lots of Green Tea Soap is available.  If you plan on any picnics, you will need some lotion with Lemongrass to repel those bugs…….and yes, it does work!!  As always, John & Sandy are excited to see you this week!

   Food grown and made right here in the KC area is what you'll always find at the Westport Plaza Farmers' Market.  It feels good to know that you can buy goods produced by the kind people you see at the market.  If you have questions about how your produce, meat, plants or baked goods are treated on their way to you, simply ask the vendor.  They are also great sources of information about how to cook or care for your purchases once you get them home.  Take a gander at the freshest food in midtown KC...

Farm Aid 2011 seeks volunteers for August 13th concert



                  

Greetings friend! 

Farm Aid 2011 is looking for additional volunteers! Farm Aid 2011 is taking place Saturday, August 13th at LiveSTRONG Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kansas. Volunteers get to help out a great cause while enjoying complimentary meals and lots of music! Saturday volunteers get free access to the volunteer seating section before and after their shift. The annual concert includes Farm Aid's board members Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave Matthews along with additional artists including Jason Mraz and Jacob Dylan. Volunteer jobs will include a variety of tasks including donation booths, hospitality tents, runners, media escorts, uploading photos, and green team.
The Fine Print: All volunteers must attend a volunteer meeting. Meetings are held Thursday evening, Friday & Saturday morning.  Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. You can volunteer with a friend, but you both need to fill out a volunteer form. Specific volunteer shifts will be emailed to volunteers about 1 week before the show along with parking instructions, meeting times and other details. If you register- you will be given a shift.

If you want to volunteer and can commit to being there, please use this link to fill out the official volunteer form as soon as possible.  Deadline: July 30th. By filling out the form you are agreeing to work your assigned shift.
