Kale Festival at Brookside Farmers' Market

Celebrate the second annual Kale Festival with Brookside Farmers' Market and Chef Renee Kelly of Caenen Castle. Chef Renee will demonstrate several ways to prepare different varieties of kale – from Curly to Dinosaur and Red Russian. Demonstrations begin at 10:00 a.m. and include samples of kale salad, sautéed kale, and cannellini beans and kale pasta.

In addition to fabulous food to taste, farmers will share growing tips, recipes and nutritional information - Check out some great KALE resources we have posted on our website! We’ll also have children’s activities.

And, stay entertained during the Kale Festival with live music from Mark McGonigle and Bleeding Heart.
