What is Vermiculture?
Learn how to be an urban composter this Saturday as we welcome the Worm Workshop with Rachel Mahlik, environmental educator. Rachel’s mission is to bring vermiculture and hands-on science into the classroom with the hope students will make connections between their actions and the environment by exposing them to a form of urban composting.Rachel will demonstrate the levels of a working worm bin and allow visitors to handle individual worms using a magnifying glass. She can answer questions about vermiculture and worms! She will also have art materials for crafts, as well as information for teachers, parents and scouts about workshops!
Ruth Ward & Madisen Ward will keep you entertained. Read below for what vendors will have in store.
