The Kansas City Sweet Potato Project "Sweet Potato Girl Scouts" are back again this week giving you one more chance to purchase organically grown sweet potato slips at an outrageously reasonable cost. Sweet potato slips are simple to plant. The Girl Scouts can provide details. Sweet potatoes can be planted through the end of June.

The Sweet Potato Project is a collaborative effort of Food Not Lawns KC, Society of St Andrew West, Troost Village Community Association &  Squash Blossom Food Cooperative.
The purpose of the project is to encourage gardeners to grow sweet potatoes and give half of their crop to Harvester's, Kansas City's Food Bank. Habitat ReStore, Stony Crest Urban Farm & other market vendors & many market customers are involved in the project. Let's get growing Waldo!
